Promoting Community Health

After 3 years of intensive work in the villages of Hussenia and Kamaneh, the community health project implemented by Al-Tufula center in the newly recognized villages in the North is reaching its final stages. The project aims at promoting community health in these villages through women empowerment.  The women who participated in the project played the main role in changing health-related habits in their villages. Currently, the project coordinator, Ms. Johaina Hussein, is documenting the whole process through the research book that is being written. In the near future, we will be investing our efforts in developing a course aiming at training professionals on this approach, so that they can implement it in other Palestinian localities within Israel.
